Perthshire is the geographical heart of Scotland and has long been at the heart of Scotland’s musical history.
First formed in early 2003, the aim of Music Across Perthshire (MAP) is to bring together music venues, musicians (professional, amateur and of all styles), music shops, studios, record labels, music teachers and students…in fact everyone actively involved with the encouragement of music within the Perthshire community. Through a regular brochure, network evenings, an annual music fair, and the Dreich End Festival 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 & 2007 it is already effective in spreading an awareness of, and pride in, what music is available locally… for residents and visitors alike.
